My son needed a new driver. Donovan and Clayton, and a third golf team member, took the time to help him select the right driver and make necessary adjustments. It was clear they were looking for the right driver for him and really established a great rapport, I’ve had mixed experiences at other stores, could not find anyone to help pick tennis rackets awhile back. But for golf, I’m happy to return here.

Was just in at 6:47pm on this Sunday night knowing exactly what I needed, a pair of tactical boots. While heading to the back of the store to retrieve said item, at 6:50pm, an employee rudely yelled out "we close in 5 minutes." To which I responded "great." Found my boots immediately after, the last pair! As I grab them off the shelf two employees come out of the back and stop, turn and with pure annoyance say "we close in 5 minutes." To which I laughed at as I turned and walked to the front to make my purchase. While 15 feet from the register a long blonde haired man or woman, unsure as I walked past, said "oh looks like you're heading to the register but so you know we close in 5 minutes." As I walked past I said "great, third time I've heard just that!" To which he/she responded "oh great!" In a very sarcastic manner.

My receipt shows 7:56, sounds like you're open for business another 4 minutes. The most rude unprofessional children running amuck at SLO Dick's.

We went in on a Saturday to check out the treadmills. Looked around to find an associate as we had a few questions before making a decision. Graham happened to be walking up on his way to start his shift. We stopped him to ask our questions. He was very friendly and polite. He answered them in full. We let him know we were ready to make a purchase. He left to clock in and he came right back. Graham was friendly, thorough and patient. Definitely an asset to any company.

Paul in the golf department is awesome! Doesn’t try to over sell what you need. Easy to talk with and seems knowledgeable. Girls at the counter checking out are friendly and attentive. Overall great experience. Thank you Paul!

Higher selection of available items when compared to the Santa Maria location. Was told they do not do veteran discounts at this location .

I give them three stars due to the fact of their excellent selection of products here. Here comes the but! I walked in I walked thru the firearm section the shoe section the bike section the fitness section and the tennis section. The only person in the store that finally greeted me with a hello was one of the employees moving around a clothing rack. Way to go kid, you made this a three star review, but not impressed. No, can I help you find anything? I'm truly sad, I've worked for major retailers and great companies whose total focus is on the customers satisfaction and happiness. Why? We all know that with a great experience you have a happy client that will recommend or at least suggest you when a friend or family member asks about a certain product. We also know that if your not happy you shoot that place down 24/7, I understand they're college kids studying to become something better, but trust me. Your job is to represent your company smile be happy keep clients coming back or you wont be working any job to long.
